About Me

My name is Whitney Peters and I am a Mission Intern for the United Methodist Church's Global Ministry's Young Adult Service Program. I just served in Managua, Nicaragua with Accion Medíca Cristiana and am now completing my domestic placement in Hayesville, NC with the Hinton Rural Life Center.

I am on a journey and strive to seek the holy and the Christ in the small things. I long to constantly grow and stretch in how I understand others. I want to live intentionally.

This blog is a space for me to share my experiences, thoughts, and photos. I hope it can be a space for you to join in with my ministry and stay updated on my adventures/ lessons learned.

I'm interested to see how I will be able to apply my experiences from Nicaragua to my new job in the Appalachians of North Carolina. It's exciting to be in a new community and I know my Nica relationships will remain with me and only enrich my time serving in my home country.

Thanks for joining me on my journey!
